It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cy Stricker (Stanley Cyril Stricker) at the age of 49, on June 4th, after a heroic battle with cancer. Cy passed gently at his home in the loving arms of his long-time partner, Lorinda, by whom he will be forever missed. He will be sadly missed as well by his much-loved children and chosen children:  Michal (Rena), Gwen (Mel), Erilyn, Morgan (Simon), Alysha, Connor, & Zack. Cy also leaves behind his cherished grandmother, Myrtle; loving mother, Lana; dear sister, Heidi (Colin) as well as his nephews, Julian, Liam, & Eli; his brother-at-heart, Cousin Ryan; his long-time friend B.J.; many wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins; his Local 95 union brothers and sisters; as well as his many friends, both two-legged and four-legged.

He is predeceased by his dear father Stanley Paul.

Cy loved his family and friends, animals, cars and motorcycles, music, fixing things, gardening, the great outdoors, joking around, living in the moment, and enjoying every day of his too short time on this Earth. He will no doubt be missed and remembered for his kind smile, his playful sense of humour, and his endlessly cheerful and gentle demeanour. 

Cy was cremated on June 10th. A celebration of life will be held on July 30, in the Blueline Room, at the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex in Listowel, Ontario.
